Waterford Council urged to plug two-year long water leak

Ongoing water leaks addressed in Metropolitan district meeting

Cllr John Hearne raised issue with an ongoing water leak problem in the city by St Paul's school, at the most recent Metropolitan district meeting, saying: "It's been going on two years, residents and everybody is at the phone".

Cllr Hearne asked the council to intervene where they could to reach a solution, saying: "Irish Water say it's their problem, St Paul's say it's their problem. We just need someone to say who is responsible for it so we can get together and see where the issue is."

Paul Johnston, Waterford City and County Council, said they will "certainly investigate the leak there at St Paul's".
