The Tower Hotel was buzzing with excitement recently for the Waterford Chamber Business Expo.
The event, which was a resounding success, saw over 60 exhibitors showcase the vibrant and extremely diverse business offering that currently exists in Waterford.
Cllr Joe Conway, Mayor of Waterford City & County, who took time to go around and meet with the exhibitors, said he was hugely impressed by the diverse businesses on show.
He also lent his support to Autism Friendly Waterford and the Waterford Food Bank, who were raising awareness on the evening.
Speaking after the event, Gerald Hurley, CEO Waterford Chamber, said: “Events such as these allow us that time away from the office to share ideas and learn from our peers.
“The buzz in the Tower Hotel only emphasised how dynamic the Waterford business community is and there was an eagerness to do business and support each other, which was fantastic to see,” he said.

The event provided an excellent opportunity for people to network and make contacts and in that regard was invaluable to local business owners.
WLR FM’s John Keane did a fantastic job broadcasting his first live outside broadcast since taking over the Spin Home slot and added to the occasion by playing great music, coupled with interviews with various exhibitors.
There was a very upbeat atmosphere at the event and an air of positivity that was perhaps indicative of the confidence and pride that business owners and operators throughout Waterford take in their enterprises.
As the event concluded, spot prizes were given out, business cards were exchanged and promises were made to keep in touch, showing that the Waterford business community is stronger than ever.
The event is one of the many initiatives that Waterford Chamber organises during the year.
