WATCH: SETU students recycle old copies of Waterford News & Star for innovative art project
The models were created out of a pulverised clay made from old newspaper, before subsequently being remodelled over sustainable materials
An innovative art project was undertaken recently by First Year visual art students in SETU (South East Technological University) Waterford.
As part of the project the students utilised old copies of Waterford News & Star to transform fragile materials into sculptural forms.
The sculptures were designed in a way that could either absorb and respond to light, or hold a small body of water.
