Work is ongoing at the moment in Waterford City in placing the next section of the new Sustainable Transport Bridge in place.
The enormous HEBO 9 floating crane that is in the city is hoisting the superstructure deck sections of the bridge into position this week.
There was a huge amount of interest in the city yesterday when the first section was placed and now today, Thursday, May 22, the second section is being positioned.
The giant crane could be seen moving slowly up the river Suir carrying the deck section.
Watch a video of the manoeuvre below.
The incredible feat of engineering has created a surge of expectation in the Déise city with people gathering on the quayfront to witness the once-in-a-lifetime spectacle of such a massive undertaking being carried out.
