The roller-coaster rock machine that is Oasis barreled into Ireland over the last few days and in doing so created scenes that will go down the seminal moments in Irish rock gig history.
One of those lucky enough to get tickets for the gig was Colin Shanahan, well-known throughout Waterford and the south east through his work with the Oasis tribute band, 'Mad Ferritt' and also his photography and video business, digicolmedia.

"It was just a brilliant weekend," said Colin, who attended the gig on Saturday night along with his wife Clare and children, son Quinn and daughter, Izzy.
However, not content with taking in the band on stage that night Colin decided to return to Croke Park the following night to experience the vibe of the event from outside the stadium - along with literally thousands of other fans.

Having seen the band 14 times, Colin is a veteran of the live Oasis experience but even for him this time around it was something extra special.
"I have never in my life seen as many people singing along to literally every song as what I saw in Croke Park," he said.
"It was everybody singing every word of every song," he added.

Trying to convey what it was like as an overall music experience he commented: "It was like it was the last gig on earth."
He also highlighted that the overall atmosphere was one of upbeat optimism and joy with everyone there just relishing the chance to witness the band in concert one more time.
"It was just incredible," he said, highlighting the fact he didn't see any trouble taking place.

Colin also admitted to feeling a little emotional when the band performed '(What's The Story) Morning Glory' and his own favourite Oasis song, 'Slide Away'.
"I did get a bit emotion during 'Morning Glory' and 'Slide Away' which surprised me a little to be honest," he said.
"But there was something different about this gig and I have to say it was among the best gigs I've ever seen," he added.
Such was the effect the previous night had on him that Colin decided to return to Dublin on Sunday.

"I was there at home and at about 3.30pm I thought I'd give it a go and head up in the hope that maybe someone would be getting rid of a ticket," he said.
However, while a Sunday ticket didn't materialise he said that night's gig provided him with a completely different experience.
"On Saturday night, hearing all those people singing every word, I remember wondering what that must sound like outside the stadium," he said.

"Then on Sunday night I got to experience that as well and it was incredible because there were thousands of people outside as well and they were singing every word too," he added.
That night, outside the stadium, he was situated behind the stage and he said the combination of the music and crowd noise from inside Croke Park mixed with the sound of thousands of people singing outside was phenomenal.
"It was just incredible, the whole thing," he said.
"It wasn't just a gig, it really was a music experience."
