Uisce Eireann response to Lismore water issues "felt like a slap in the face," says Waterford Councillor

Water running from tap into kitchen sink
"In this day and age, you would imagine that water supply is a given," said Lismore Councillor Niamh O'Donovan as her constituency continues to deal with ongoing water supply and pressure issues.
"This is going on years and years and I just can't believe we're still in a situation in Lismore where the water supply is just so difficult with leaks, low pressure and just constant issues," the Fine Gael Councillor said to WLR.
The Councillor said that the issue is difficult to solve as a local representative, as the works fall outside of the Council's mandate: "When we brought it up in a workshop with Uisce Éireann, we were told there's actually plenty of water in Lismore. That felt like a slap in the face."
"Nearly every day now there's something coming from Lismore with water supply," said the Councillor, who promised to continue to work for a solution.
