Waterford was well represented, with three girls from the Déise on the Late Late Toy Show on Friday.

Entrepreneurs and BFFs Holly Murphy and Phoebe Cummins, from Ferrybank, were guests on the show and won a trip to the Universal Orlando in Florida.

Holly’s mother Sonia, said they were “immensely grateful” for the prize.

“We are completely overwhelmed by the prize they were given. It is out of this world. It was Holly and Phoebe’s dream to go on the Toy Show, so that was the biggest thing and then for them to get the holiday. They are just excited to go together,” said Sonia.

Phoebe’s mother Grace, added: “It was an amazing experience for both of them, and we are really proud.”

The pair appeared on the show to showcase their little business Blind Bags. The girls fill their Blind Bags with sweets, toys, bracelets and notes and sell them on their street. Their business is called PHEZ named after their “staff” Phoebe, Holly, Ella and Zara. The girls told host Patrick Kielty they have been best friends for six years because they make each other happy. Holly said Phoebe asked her to be her BFF over strawberries.

“She is funny. She is able to pull me out of a bad mood. If I’m ever in a bad mood -probably not with her," said Holly.

Phoebe said: “We are the same kind of positivity and like, the same energy and anytime we are around each other, we are happy.”

After showing off their fabulous business, the girls were given a friendship quiz. But the last few questions were about Orlando.

And then, the surprise was revealed. The girls told the Late Late Show afterwards that they couldn't believe they were going to Orlando.

"That's insane. Like to go on the Toy Show and then to go to Orlando," said Holly.

"I've never been to America before," said Phoebe.

Sophie danced alongside Charlie from Co. Down and Johnny from Westmeath, who sang.

Sophie’s Mother Mairèad congratulated her daughter on her performance.

“Just wants to congratulate my daughter Sophie Barry from Lismore Co. Waterford who represented Waterford last night in the Toy Show for the first county parade on the show. She danced along with another little boy and did a great job,” said Mairèad.

Sophie's Mother was not the only one rooting for her, with local sports groups excited for her appearance.

Waterford Camogie wrote on social media last week: “Big shoutout to a very special girl who has been chosen to represent Waterford in the very first county parade this Friday night at approximately 11.15 pm on the Late Late Toy Show. Supper excitement for the whole county. Best of luck. We will be cheering for you.”

The Lismore Camogie Club, which Sophie plays on the U10 team, wrote on social media: “Have a great one, Sophie.”
