Storm Amy: Second weather warning issued for Waterford

A second yellow weather warning is due to come into effect on Friday as the country braces itself for Storm Amy.
This weather warning is in place nationwide for strong winds.
Met Éireann says they are expecting strong to near gale-force and gusty south-westernly winds.

The status yellow warning comes into place from 12pm on Friday until midnight on Saturday.
There is a yellow rain warning in place for Waterford from 6am to 8pm on Thursday.
Met Éireann expects widespread rain, which is heavy at times.
Likely impacts include localised flooding and difficult travel conditions.
The warning is also in place in Cavan, Donegal, Munster, Connacht and Longford.
Met Éireann has also issued a Small Craft warning for all coasts of Ireland with southerly winds, veering westerly and expected to reach force 6 or higher.
That warning is effective from 9am on Thursday, October 2 until 9am on Friday, October 3.
