SPRAOI and ISACS welcomed European street art and circus delegates of Cirostrada DIVE#3 to the South East at Assembly House last week.
As a sponsor of SPRAOI, the Southern Regional Assembly was delighted to host the commencement of DIVE#3 with opening addresses from Mayor Jason Murphy, and Cllr Garret Kelleher, Cathaoirleach, Southern Regional Assembly.
SPRAOI, Ireland’s designated Street Arts Festival, attracts European artists to Waterford and showcases Irish artists to international audiences. During DIVE#3, delegates visiting cultural locations in Waterford and Wexford, talent-spot and participate in a series of seminars.
“SPRAOI is an important shop window for Irish talent seeking European work opportunities. It also brings European and Irish cultural leaders together which leads to mutually beneficial connections. With SPRAOI, there's a shared value of fostering European conversations and connections,” said David Kelly, Director, Southern Regional Assembly.
Street Talk, an ideas exchange meeting of European arts professionals, is focusing on exploring previous learnings and ideas for future art in public space.
“In an uncertain world, Ireland’s European cultural connectivity is vital. We are thrilled to have a significant player like the Southern Regional Assembly involved in our work in this regard," said Spraoi Director, T.V. Honan.
