Sinn Féín opens full-time constituency office in County Waterford

Deputy Conor McGuinness (Sinn Féín) has opened a fulltime constituency office in Dungarvan
Sinn Féin has cut the ribbon a full-time constituency office in County Waterford for party TD, Deputy Conor D. McGuinness.
The office is located at 47 Mary Street, Dungarvan and is fully staffed and open Monday to Friday.
A spokesperson for the party told Waterford News & Star and waterford-news.ie that the office will provide "vital access to advocacy and advice services" for individuals and communities across West Waterford.
Meanwhile, Deputy McGuinness also unveiled details of his constituency outreach clinics that take place on rotation across County Waterford.
The official opening was carried out by Sinn Féin MEP, Kathleen Funchion, who praised Deputy McGuinness as a committed and capable public representative.
“Conor is hard-working, accessible and grounded in his community,” said Ms Funchion.
“He proved his capability as a councillor, and now, as a TD, he’s ensuring the people of Waterford have the strongest possible representation at national level," she added.
“His recent election as Chair of the Oireachtas Committee on Fisheries and Maritime Affairs, and his appointment as Sinn Féin spokesperson on Rural Affairs, Community Development and the Gaeltacht, are testament to his work ethic, his ability, and the esteem in which he is held both inside and outside Leinster House.”
Deputy McGuinness also spoke at the opening and said: "My office is a place where people can come for support, advice or help navigating public services and entitlements. It’s also a place where communities can raise their concerns, propose ideas, and work with us to deliver real change.”
He also acknowledged his party colleague and fellow Sinn Féin TD, Deputy David Cullinane, commenting: “Between David Cullinane TD and myself, Sinn Féin now provides a full-time constituency advice service covering every part of Waterford — from the city to the coast, from the Comeraghs to the Gaeltacht. David and I work as a team and aim to be accessible to all our constituents."
“People are angry with the housing crisis, the cost of living, and the lack of services in rural communities," said Deputy McGuinness
"But they are also hopeful; hopeful that with strong representation and a change of Government, we can build something better," he added.

"This office is about delivering strong representation for the people of Dungarvan and Co. Waterford. Is oifig dátheangach í, agus seirbhís ar fáil as Gaeilge agus as Béarla."
The office is open Monday to Friday, from 10am to 12.30pm and from 1.30pm to 5pm. Appointments are also available outside those times on request and constituents can also make contact by phone on 058 61640, by email to conor.mcguinness@oireachtas.ie
“Together with my colleagues, Cllr Catherine Burke (Comeragh LEA), Cllr Donnchadh Mulcahy (Lismore LEA) and Cllr. Kate O’Mahoney (Dungarvan LEA), my county-wide outreach clinics will ensure that support is available to all," said Deputy McGuinness.
In conclusion he commented: “Sinn Féin will always put ordinary people and communities first. Our constituency offices are here to serve the public, not the powerful.”
