Waterford City and County Council have agreed to look at designating a pick-up-drop-off spot for a Lismore crèche, at the primary school.

Councillor Niamh O’Donovan said at the February sitting of the Dungarvan-Lismore Municipal District Council that Scallywags is providing a “really valuable service.” She said the creche provides before-breakfast and after-school services as well as drop-off and pick-up services.

“But I suppose when you have service like that operating really well in a community if you know Lismore, there is not much parking at the school.

"We were wondering if the council could support them and their really valuable service in designating a specific spot, said Cllr O'Donovan.

Senior Engineer Gabriel Hynes said they will look at the area around the school and see if it is possible.
