Plans for 97 houses in Waterford withdrawn

A planning application for the construction of 97 dwellings on Lacken Road in Waterford city has been deemed withdrawn.

Applicant Rio Real Properties Limited submitted the plans in June 2023. A Further Information request was subsequently lodged. The application was officially withdrawn on July 1 of this year.

The plans involved the construction of 97 dwellings comprising of 12 two-storey, two-bedroom end-of-terrace dwellings, 51 two-storey, two-bedroom mid-terrace dwellings, four two-storey, three-bedroom semi-detached dwellings and 18 two-storey, three-bedroom end-of-terrace dwellings.

A number of four-bed and five-bed dwellings were also planned. 

A letter submitted to the applicant by Waterford City and County Council stated: “A period of nine months has elapsed since the date on which you were requested to submit further information in respect of the above application. I hereby declare the application to be withdrawn.”
