One man arrested following major drugs find in south east

The Gardaí arrested a man following a major drugs seizure over the weekend.
In a statement a spoksperson for the force told Waterford News & Star that on Friday, August 22, as part of Operation Tara, Gardaí seized approximately €1.9m worth of cocaine and cannabis.
The seizure took place in New Ross following a search of a premises, carried out by members attached to Wexford Crime Unit.
"During the course of this search 89kg of cannabis, with an estimated value of €1.76 million, and 2kg of cocaine with an estimated value of €140,000, were located," said the Garda spokesperson.
The drugs seized will be sent for further analysis.
A man aged in his 40s was arrested in relation to this seizure.
He is currently detained pursuant to Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996, at a Garda Station in Co. Wexford.
Investigations are ongoing.
