A photo from an archive collection in County Waterford has given a glimpse into what life was like almost 100 years ago in County Waterford.
The photo was provided to Stradbally Photographic Archive courtesy of Tom and Jan Walsh, from the collection of Tom's sister, the late Kathleen Poe.
It depicts Tom's grandfather, Pat Aylward, who was a baker, with one of Tom's older sisters and it's estimated the photo was taken in the late 1930s.
A spokesperson for Stradbally Photographic Archive said: "It was taken in the village in front of Aylward's house on the terrace."
The terrace in question was just out of shot and to the right in the photo.
"The trees on the left are in the garden of what was then the Rectory," said the spokesperson.
