Official opening of community playground to take place in Waterford

The Panda Playground will be officially opened this month
There is great excitement in a community in County Waterford at the moment ahead of the official opening of a local community playground amenity.
Since the Panda Playground amenity in Ballymacarbry opened to the public within the last month there has been a great response locally.
The development of the facility also received immense support from within the community in Ballymacarbry and the surrounding areas with a number of fundraising events being very well supported.
Now the committee behind the facility have announced that the official opening will take place on Saturday, September 14, and they are encouraging everyone in the locality to go along for what promises to be a fantastic community event.
The event will run from 12pm to 3pm and there will be free face painting, games, ice creams for the kids and a coffee van for the parents to enjoy refreshments.
While the committee is very grateful of the donations they received to-date in support of the cost of the playground there is still a shortfall of around €35,000 to the required fund of €170,000 and ongoing support will be very much appreciated.

One of the most recent donations to the fund was presented by Dungarvan Cycling Club who raised €4,740 through the 'Comeragh and Knockmealdown Challenge Cycle'.
