Obituary: Pat Foran was devoted to his family and passionate about soccer

The late Pat Foran.

The death has sadly occurred of Patrick (Pat) Foran, 14 Abbey Lawn, Ferrybank, Co Waterford, who passed away on Sunday, April 27, aged 78 years.

Born in Carrick Philip, Ballyduff, Pat was a hardworking man who spent his life working for his family.

In earlier years, this involved work on the buildings and with the gas company.

In later years, Pat began working his favourite job, as part of the maintenance team in UHW. Pat enjoyed his work there and made many life-long friends and memories over the years, up until he retired in 2012.

Soccer was always one of Pat's great passions and over the years he spent plenty of time on the pitch as a referee and on the sideline as a manager. He could always be heard roaring encouragement to his beloved Ballyduff and Pubs Leagues Teams.

Pat was a beloved and devoted family man. He enjoyed 57 happy years of marriage with his wife Mary, with each of these years filled with love, memories and laughter.

Pat adored his daughter Jenny, son-in-law Jim and grandchildren Laura, Emma and James. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his family, sharing in their happiness and creating memories to last a lifetime.
