Waterford recently welcomed a group of students from Norway as part of the Erasmus programme.
Waterford College of Further Education played host to 25 students and three staff from Haram Vidaregåande Skule, in Brattvåg, Norway.
The students visited the Déise for two weeks from, February 24 to March 7.

The Norwegian guests joined Waterford College of Further Education students in classes on a number of topics including Health Care, Childcare and Communication.
Hosted by the WCFE Student Council and staff, the guests from Haram Vidaregåande Skule were treated to a signature Déise lunch of Sausages and Blaas.

There was an intercultural karaoke sing-off and an Irish dancing lesson taught by WCFE’s former 'Lord of the Dance Star', Gillian Norris, who demonstrated how to dance the famous 'Siege of Ennis'.
Waterford College of Further Education has been participating in the Erasmus+ programme for a number of years to offer students and staff the chance to go on international exchanges to enhance their educational and professional experiences.

Students from WCFE and those visiting the Déise get the chance to develop new skills and experience new cultures.
The students from Norway got to experience a tour of Waterford city and participate in hair and beauty sessions.

They also got to enjoy a visit to the Waterford Childcare Centre.

WCFE says the Erasmus+ experience enhances academic knowledge, improves language skills, and increases employability.
