In February 111 adults were in emergency accommodation in Waterford compared to 111 in January and 109 in December

There was an increase in the number of adults in Waterford local authority emergency accommodation between January and February.

According to the Monthly Homelessness Report published by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, 112 adults were in emergency accommodation in Waterford.

This was the highest number since November 2025, which also saw 112 adults in emergency accommodation in Waterford.

The February figures represent an increase from 111 in January and 109 in December.

Waterford remains the South East county with the highest number of adults in emergency accommodation, followed by Tipperary with 82 and Wexford with 54.

Carlow was reported to have had 47 adults in emergency accommodation in February and Kilkenny had 44.

The total for the South East region was 339, with a further 106 children.

Sixty-nine families were in emergency accommodation in the South East.
