Waterford gardaí arrested a driver after they detected them travelling more than twice the speed limit and on a mobile phone.
In a post on social media, gardaí say they were operating a speed-detection checkpoint when they came across the motorist in a Range Rover travelling at 108kph in a 50kph zone.
The driver was also observed on a mobile phone.
Gardaí say they arrested the driver who “was brought before the court” on road traffic charges.
