Man arrested at hotel car park for intoxication

Waterford Courthouse

A man appeared in court last week after he was arrested from a hotel car park in Waterford city.

On June 27, gardaí were called to the Woodlands Hotel on the Dunmore Road.

Once there, they found a 32-year-old man named Keelan Kennedy in a highly intoxicated state.

Due to his level of intoxication, gardaí concluded that he posed a risk to himself and others.

Kennedy, who has an address at Meadowlands Lane, Midleton, Cork, was charged with Section 4 Public Order (intoxication in a public place).

He was ordered by Judge Kevin Staunton to pay €400 to the court poor box to have the matter struck out.
