One lucky Waterford person won over €4 million on Saturday night's lotto draw

A Waterford person has won a staggering €4 million on the national lottery draw on Saturday night, April 19.

The total life-changing amount won by the lucky punter was an astounding €4,038,682.

The Waterford winner became the 6th Lotto Jackpot winner this year to-date and joins the ranks of the five other big winners from across the country including Louth, Dublin, Kerry, Limerick, and Kilkenny.

"This latest triumph also crowns the Lotto player the 11th National Lottery millionaire of 2025," a spokesperson for the National Lottery told waterford-news.ie

The winning numbers for last night’s Lotto draw were: 6, 18, 25, 26, 36, 43 and the bonus was 44.

The National Lottery spokesperson said the store location where the winning ticket was purchased will be announced on Wednesday, April 23.

The National Lottery is urging all players in Waterford to check their tickets carefully and if you’re holding the winning ticket, be sure to contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie to arrange the collection of your prize.

Emma Monaghan, National Lottery spokesperson said: “One of our Lotto players in Waterford is sure to be over the moon this morning, discovering they are the National Lottery’s latest millionaire. We’re thrilled for our newest winner."

"If you’re holding that life-changing ticket, please sign it and keep it somewhere super safe, as it is now worth an incredible €4,038,682," she said.

Nearly 30cent in every €1 spent on National Lottery games goes back to good causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish language. In total, over €6.5 billion has been raised for good causes since the National Lottery was established 37 years ago. In 2023 alone, €227.9 million was raised for causes in communities across Ireland.
