Taoiseach Harris enjoys Tramore trip

Taoiseach Simon Harris made his way around Waterford recently with his Fine Gael colleagues on the canvassing trail.

On Saturday, May 18, the Taoiseach met with members of the public and organisations, such as the national life-saving squad, and also took a seaside stroll with local Councillors Frank Quinlan, Lola O'Sullivan and Senator John Cummins, followed by lunch alfresco with some of the younger generation under a clear blue sky.

Cllr Quinlan shared a video of himself with the youngest Taoiseach in the history of the State and Senator Cummins, while standing on the beach in Tramore.
The video was a message from Taoiseach Harris saying how "delighted" he was to be in "beautiful Tramore", with his full support behind Senator Cummins, who will be running for a Dáil seat, and Cllr Quinlan who will contest the local elections on Friday, June 7.

Adding to the social media post, Cllr Quinlan said, "I have worked very hard to serve and help the people of Waterford and address issues I see.
"I have loads of energy to put into the role as a councillor, which I think you really need, and I feel if I get the support of Waterford City South constituents I promise to use that energy to the best of my ability," he concluded.
