The victorious All-Ireland Waterford minor hurling team and management were accorded a Civic Reception by Waterford City & County on Thursday last in City Hall and they along with the Mayor of Waterford City & County, Cllr.Seamus Ryan and the full council are pictured with the captain, James Comerford and the Mayor holding the cup.

Waterford’s minor hurling stars were honoured with a Civic Reception in City Hall in recognition of them securing the 2025 Minor All-Ireland hurling title.

The reception was an extremely positive affair and marked a momentous and historic achievement in the history of Waterford sport.

The event was led by Mayor of Waterford City and County, Councillor Seamus Ryan, who praised the team’s determination and unity while also remarking on the fact that All-Ireland titles don't come to Waterford all that often.

However, he commented: "When they do, occasions like this deserve to be marked in the most fitting way. This success was not just for the panel, but for every supporter in the city and county.”

Photographer Noel Browne was there to capture the event and photos will also appear in the forthcoming print edition of Waterford News & Star and here on waterford-news.ie
