Waterford’s own Moncrieff made his homecoming in the city recently to unprecedented crowd numbers.

As part of a series of secret performances in preparation for the release of his single, 'Hard Feelings', the Tramore-born Moncrieff performed an intimate gig in Phil Grimes Pub at 8.30pm on Thursday, followed by a free outdoor performance atop his tour van in The Apple Market.

During the performance in Phil Grimes, a music video for the newly released single was filmed, before the local artist made the quick journey to the city centre for his follow-up performance for the hundreds who awaited his arrival in the Apple Market at 9.30pm.

Once a backing singer for Adele, Moncrieff has found himself at the forefront of the Irish music scene with his dazzling genre-bending hits that include Serial Killer and Warm, which have amassed over 25 million and 15 million streams respectively on Spotify.

Following the Waterford gigs, Moncrieff announced his long-awaited debut album.

The album, titled 'Maybe It's Fine' is out on May 9 of this year.

The album's cover art pays homage to his county, as he adorns a nostalgic Waterford GAA kit.
He said via social media: "I started writing this album 10 years ago when I was a boy who just finished school, who'd lost both his brother and sister within a couple of years. A boy who was completely lost in the world. I had never written a song, all I knew was when music was playing, the world seemed to make a bit more sense.

"These 12 songs are me letting go of the pressure I put on myself. These 12 songs are for everyone who's ever felt like I have.
"Maybe It's Fine is loving myself, even when I don't want to.
"Maybe it's fine. Maybe I'm fine."

The album is available to pre-save now.
