The house near Michael Street, New Ross, where the fire broke out in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Three people rescued from a house blaze in the early hours of Sunday, August 4, were brought to University Hospital Waterford.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a fire at a domestic residence in New Ross, Co. Wexford and arrived at the scene at approximately 00.50am.

There were three occupants in the house at the time. Two males, aged in their 20s, and a woman aged in her 40s, were taken to University Hospital Waterford for treatment. Their conditions are described as serious but stable.

The blaze was later brought under control by local fire services. The scene was preserved since early Sunday morning, and an examination of the scene took place throughout the day. Gardaí were still present at the scene at around 9pm on Sunday night.

The Gardaí are currently appealing for witnesses, anyone with video footage or anyone who may have information regarding this incident to contact the investigation team.
