Historic photo provides window into Waterford's past

A window into Waterford's past was submitted to Waterford News & Star and waterford-news.ie recently by the Stradbally Photographic Archive.
The photo, courtesy of Aidan Coffey, was taken in 1972 and shows Fr Bartholomew Kiely giving the first blessing after his ordination to his parents, Dr Patrick Kiely (a native of Moonakirka) and Christina Kiely.
It's believed the location was the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes in Ballinlough, Cork.
A spokesperson for the Stradbally Photographic Archive said they are always looking to add photos to the collection and to share them with a wider audience through the local paper and the 'Welcome to Stradbally - Present and Past' Facebook page.
