WCFE students to stage upcoming play at Garter Lane

Waterford College of Further Education (WCFE) theatre students recently visited Garter Lane Studios in Waterford City.

In a new partnership with Garter Lane, the students will now be able to rehearse and stage their upcoming play at the Garter Lane Arts Centre, offering them an immersive experience in the heart of the artistic quarter in Waterford.

"It's an amazing opportunity for students to weave into the rich theatrical fabric of Waterford city," said Michelle Daly, Course Coordinator. "They will be surrounded by art and creativity while they progress their own vision for the play.

Ms. Daly added that a number of figures have been instrumental in orchestrating the collaboration:

"WCFE Principal Noreen Reilly has been integral to this collaboration. She has backed us every step of the way. I'd also like to thank Garter Lane, Síle and Derek, for their incredible support and vision making this a reality."

If you are interested in joining the WCFE Theatre Studies course next year, you can apply directly to wcfe.ie

The course offers an academic and practical immersion in performance arts, with a heavy emphasis on exploring the student’s own creative expression and artistic experimentation.
