Woman dreams of being a lawnmower in Waterford
'Times Passes' will be staged in Garter Lane Theatre
An insightful new play, written by Natasha Everitt and directed by Deirdre Dwyer, will be staged in Waterford's Garter Lane Theatre on March 6 and 7.
'Time Passes' is based around a character named Jennifer.
She lives with her mother and has stopped going to therapy.
Jennifer dreams of being a lawnmower!
'Time Passes' was written over the course of two years, and deals with a woman at her tipping point.
She has stopped going to her recovery programs and is spiraling faster and farther into her dissociations, where she dreams of being a lawnmower.
The lawnmower acts as a place of absolute truth for Jennifer, and acts as a vehicle for her traversing through her trauma.
The tale is dark and surreal, but at times funny, and all-the-while honest as it looks at the thin line between reality and (dis)illusion, chaos and control.

For theatre-goers interested in stories that speak of the resilience of the human spirit, that play within the edges of society, that are bold, brash and ballsy, then this is a not-to-be-missed show.
It gets under way at 7.30pm and for tickets go to https://garterlane.ie/events/time-passes-by-natasha-everitt/
