Ferrybank Shopping Centre

Yesterday, Mr. Justice Richard Humphreys adjourned High Court proceedings relating to Ferrybank Shopping Centre.

The saga surrounding the shopping centre will return to court for mention on June 22.

The shopping centre which has sat idle since 2008 looked ready to finally open when plans were approved by Kilkenny County Council last August for Dunnes Stores to move in.

However, Waterford City and County Council have since taken legal action against Kilkenny’s decision to approve the plans.

The two local authorities have since been embroiled in a legal battle which has made its way to the High Court.
