Espresso announce immediate closure

Espresso restaurant has announced it's immediate closure.

The Parnell Street-based restaurant cited challenges in the restaurant industry as a factor in the decision to close.

Owners Claudio and Rachel made the sad announcement on social media, thanking their customers for their support.

In the post, they said they had been weighing the decision 'for some time'.

"The restaurant industry has never been an easy one, and the challenges facing businesses like ours have ultimately made it impossible to keep the doors open.

"But rather than dwell on the difficulties, we want to take this opportunity to say thank you."
