Dungarvan recorded the highest percentage turnout in Waterford

Dungarvan had the highest percentage turnout in this year's local elections in Waterford with a figure of 52.53 per cent.

Elsewhere the turnout percentages in the other electoral wards were comprised of: Lismore (52.29 per cent); Portlaw-Kilmacthomas (51.04 per cent); Tramore - Waterford City West (46.86 per cent); Waterford City East (50.35 per cent); Waterford City South (47.99 per cent).

The electorate figure for Dungarvan was 17,625 with the total valid poll being 9,174. 

In Lismore the electorate was 9,952 and a total valid poll of 5,153. In Portlaw-Kilmacthomas the electorate figure was 15,401 and the total valid poll was 7,788 while in Tramore-Waterford City West the electorate figure was 17,813 and the total valid poll was 8,228.

In Waterford City East the electorate figure was 17,379 and the total valid poll was 8,661 and in Waterford City South the electorate figure was 15,641 with the total valid poll being 7,402.

The Tramore-Waterford City West electoral area had the highest number of spoiled votes (120) while the area with the lowest number of spoiled votes was Lismore (51).
