Drug awareness event to take place in Waterford

A drug awareness event will take place in County Waterford this month aimed at everyone in the community.

The event will take place in Stradbally GAA club's social centre on Thursday, January 29.

It will begin at 6.30pm and will be aimed at promoting awareness, education and open discussion around drug use and its impacts on individuals, families, and the wider community. There will be guest speakers in attendance on the night including representatives from An Garda Síochána and Addiction Counsellor, George Henderson, who will share professional insights, practical information, and guidance. 

One of those involved said: "This important discussion will provide an opportunity for attendees to learn more, ask questions, and engage in a supportive and informative environment. All members of the community are encouraged to attend."
