County Waterford encouraged to give blood at upcoming clinic
The clinic will take place at Cappoquin Community Centre, Eircode P51 E2NV and is operating on an appointment basis
People across West Waterford area are being encouraged to give blood at an upcoming blood donation clinic in Cappoquin Community Centre.
Blood donations play a vital role in our health service every day, helping patients undergoing surgery, cancer treatment, emergency care and those living with serious illnesses.
Cllr Donnchadh Mulcahy is encouraging anyone who is eligible to donate to consider making an appointment and supporting the clinic.
“Giving blood only takes a small amount of your time, but it can make a massive difference to someone who needs it. Blood is something that simply cannot be manufactured, so the health service depends on people coming forward and donating.
“We have a great community spirit across West Waterford and this is another opportunity for people to make a real difference. You never know when you, a family member or a friend could be the person who needs that blood, said Cllr Mulcahy.
The councillor is also asking people to spread the word to family, friends, colleagues, clubs and community groups.
The clinic will take place at Cappoquin Community Centre, Eircode P51 E2NV and is operating on an appointment basis.
