A civic amenity site in County Waterford is no longer accepting waste timber as a result of equipment breakdown.
A spokesperson for Waterford City and County Council, in an online notice, said the local authority has to suspend acceptance of such timber at its civic amenity site in Dungarvan.
"Waterford City and County Council regrets that it has to suspend the acceptance of waste timber at Dungarvan Civic Amenity Site," noted the spokesperson.
"This is due to the breakdown of processing equipment at a subcontracted processing facility," she added.
However, the spokesperson said it's hoped that the plant will be repaired in the coming week, following which acceptance of such material will again be facilitated.
"We wish to apologise for any inconvenience caused," said the spokesperson.
