Community groups across County Waterford are invited to attend an online information session on the 2026 Local Environment Action Fund (LEAF) which will take place this month.

The invitation is being extended by Waterford PPN (Public Participation Network) in partnership with Waterford City & County Council.

The session will provide an overview of the fund, eligible projects, application requirements, and an opportunity to ask questions related to group ideas and projects.

The information event - which will be online over Zoom - will take place on Tuesday, June 30, at 12.30pm.

The LEAF fund is specifically designed to support community and voluntary groups in undertaking climate action and environmental enhancement projects.

It will be administered locally by Waterford City & County Council with the aim of supporting community climate action, biodiversity and environmental improvement projects.

Groups must be registered with Waterford Public Participation Network (PPN) and all applications must include collaboration with at least one other community stakeholder group such as local schools, youth clubs, sports clubs, Men’s Sheds etc.
