The call has gone out in a County Waterford village ahead of an annual clean-up initiative.

The annual Village Spring Clean event will take place in Ballymacarbry village over the Easter weekend.

It will take place on Saturday, April 19, from 9am to 12noon and as one of those involved commented: "As usual, there is lots to be done."

Gloves, pickers and hi-viz jackets will be available from any member of the Tidy Towns committee during the week.

They will also be available from the community centre car park on Saturday morning, April 19.

The organisers are very appreciative of the support the initiative receives each year, as one of them said: "Thanks in advance for your help with this annual initiative."
