Businesses meet at new Granville room

Michael Skehan and Philip Erskine, Granville Hotel, with Kevin Doolin, Deputy President, Waterford Chamber.
At the recent Waterford Chamber Business After Hours event, attendees got a first look at the new Trinity Room at the Granville Hotel.

The event heard from Philip Erskine, Granville Business Development Manager, about the latest sustainability developments taking place at the hotel. Close to 100 business people came along and a number of companies exhibited.
Speaking on the night, Kevin Doolin, Deputy President of Waterford Chamber, said: "Having a venue that you have pride in is a must for any city centre and the ambiance and historical significance of this building is hugely important and we wish you all many more years of success."

Mr. Doolin also addressed the business delegates in attendance, discussing the upcoming elections, saying: "Elections, elections, elections - tonight isn't for politics, but be rest assured we are lobbying, writing submissions and in the past week have met with three Secretary Generals to bring ideas to the table for the economic growth of Waterford.

“We can give out all day long, but let's also embrace the opportunities. Yes, vote for those who can really make a difference but we can also make a difference, just look around the room, the business community coming together - now that's a pretty powerful network that I want to be part of."

Waterford Chamber's next Business After Hours will take place at Port of Waterford, Bellview, on Thursday, June 20, and is free to attend for Chamber members and non-members.
