Breaking: Land and river search on in Waterford
Rescue helicopter 117
The Rescue helicopter 117, based out of Waterford Airport and members of Waterford Marine Search and Rescue are currently carrying out a search operation in Waterford City after reports were received of ‘possible missing persons’.
The Waterford News & Star understands that a report was received of possible missing persons shortly after 7pm. However, it’s understood there is no information yet that anyone has entered the river.
It’s understood that members of the Waterford City River Rescue organisation and the Dunmore East Coast Guard are also involved in the search.
