Be in with a chance to win Festive Star cover painting - and support vital Déise children's charity!
Be in with a chance of winning this year's Festive Star cover painting and supporting a wonderful Waterford children's charity.
This year, the Waterford News & Star have teamed up with Déise artist Lisa Keane to raffle off the cover painting of this year's Festive Star for charity.
Following the success of Lisa's Painting for Palestine raffle, we have decided to do something similar.

This time, the money raised from ticket sales will be donated to Juniors For Juniors, a wonderful charity that brings comfort and solace to the children’s ward at UHW. Hopefully, our raffle can help them make this Christmas a wonderful one for some very deserving children.
"We are delighted that the gorgeous cover painting of Festive Star, featuring a beautifully Christmassy scene of Waterford's quayside, with the elegant Granville Hotel, Winterval's Waterford Eye and the Clock Tower, is going to such a great cause," said Mary Frances Ryan, Editor, Waterford News & Star. "We have seen the fantastic work done by Juniors for Juniors for the children's ward at UHW, it is truly remarkable."

Joe Daly, co-founder of Juniors for Juniors, is thrilled to have this "very unique offering for people, not only for the fundraising aspect, but for creating awareness around the important work that the charity is doing".
"We are so grateful for all the little kids in Waterford schools at the moment raising money for sick children who are spending Christmas in the ward - this is a brilliant boost to all their work as well. It just shows that all the community are getting together, the little ones and the big ones. It's just incredible when the Waterford community gets together, what we can achieve together," Joe said.
"In the ward now we have beautiful murals, new televisions, new beds, a whole new sensory room which is just incredible - it's working really, really well.
"Our next focus is on creating an environment for the families as well as the kids, who also have to spend so much time in the ward."
You can find the tickets for the raffle on Lisa's website, , where they are €10 each. Buy one ticket and your order number is entered into the draw once, buy 5 you’re in the draw 5 times etc.
