Bausch and Lomb have submitted plans to expand their Waterford City facility.
Plans include a one-storey extension to the northern side of the Waterford site. The extension is to include a new open plan and cellular offices.
The latest application also includes internal and external modifications to a previously granted planning permission that was submitted in February of this year.
These works are to include elevational alterations, site fencing, signage and alterations to the internal road network and drainage.
The contact lens manufacturer announced plans in 2021 to invest €90 million in its Waterford plant.
Since then, several expansions have already taken place at their site.
Previously in 2017, the company opened a new manufacturing line on the site.
Bausch & Lomb is one of the largest employers in Waterford and the South East, employing more than 1,500 people.
