The National Lottery has revealed the winning €17 million EuroMillions ticket was sold in the Ulster region.

They said more details will be revealed in the coming days.

This is the second time this year that an Irish player has won the EuroMillions jackpot, following the historic €250 million win in June - the largest National Lottery jackpot prize ever.

That won went to a family syndicate.

The numbers in last night’s main EuroMillions draw were: 7, 25, 30, 37, 41 and the lucky stars were 5 and 11.

An online player in Co Limerick became the second biggest winner of the night after scooping the €500,000 top prize in the EuroMillions Plus draw.

The numbers in last night’s EuroMillions Plus draw were: 11, 16, 31, 35 and 38.

Finally, a EuroMillions player in Co Kilkenny is celebrating a €30,745 win after matching five numbers in the main draw. Their Quick Pick ticket was purchased on the day of the draw, at Kitty’s Cabin, 1 Rose Inn Street, Kilkenny.

National Lottery spokesperson Emma Monaghan said: “We are absolutely thrilled to announce that an Irish player has won the €17 million EuroMillions jackpot in last night’s draw. This is the second EuroMillions jackpot won in Ireland this year, following the historic €250 million win in June. We’re encouraging all players to check their tickets very carefully. If you are the winner, sign the back of your ticket and keep it somewhere safe. We’ll reveal more details about the winning location in the coming days.”

Last night’s winners are advised to sign the back of their tickets and to keep them safe, while a notification and an email has been sent to the online winner.
