Met Éireann has issued a Status Orange rain and snow warning for Waterford. The warning is in place from 5pm today (Saturday, January 4) to 5pm tomorrow (Sunday, January 5).

School closures on Monday are possible as "severe frost" and snowfall are likely over the weekend and into next week. “There are likely to be accumulations of snow in places on Monday morning coupled with a very severe frost as well.

A status yellow rain warning has been issued for Waterford on Saturday by Met Éireann. The national weather service is warning that heavy, persistent rain is predicted to hit Waterford, Cork, and Kerry over the weekend.
