Sallyann Williams and Patrick Wall were joined by family and friends as they tied the knot in Waterford recently.

The couple started dating in October 2019, when they met on a night out and then matched on Tinder shortly afterwards.

“I guess this is meant to be then,” Sallyann told the Waterford News & Star as she spoke about how matching on Tinder concreted the couple’s interest in each other and got them to their first date in the cinema.

The big day for the happy couple consisted of a civil ceremony and reception in the Tower Hotel.

“We actually had the church booked but we ended up cancelling it,” said Sallyann.

Sallyann Williams and Patrick Wall were joined by family and friends as they tied the knot in Waterford recently.

The couple started dating in October 2019, when they met on a night out and then matched on Tinder shortly afterwards.

I guess this is meant to be then,” Sallyann told the Waterford News & Star as she spoke about how matching on Tinder concreted the couple’s interest in each other and got them to their first date in the cinema.

The big day for the happy couple consisted of a civil ceremony and reception in the Tower Hotel.

“We actually had the church booked but we ended up cancelling it,” said Sallyann.

Explaining why they chose to change their venue, she said: “We’re at that age where lots of our friends are getting married too and we had attended both church weddings and civil ceremonies. We just realised how nice and personal the civil ceremonies were and it’s so different.” “To be honest, the two of us are just such messers, we laughed the whole way through,” she added.

The civil ceremony, with Lorraine Walker as Celebrant and music performed by Johnny Jacob, was something that some of Sallyann and Patrick’s older guests never experienced before and they were complimented afterwards on how enjoyable the service was.

The couple had a lengthy list of talented family and friends who contributed to the day in many ways.

It was also very important to them both that they supported as many local vendors as possible and all dresses and suits were sourced through My Dress, Carrick, and TRM, Waterford.
