Waterford's Sliabh gCua dancers to renew Liverpool ties

The dancers will travel over to Liverpool this weekend

Members of a dancing club in County Waterford will be travelling to the UK this weekend to renew ties with their counterparts in Liverpool.

The Sliabh gCua Set Dancing Club in Touraneena, has a big weekend ahead of it when its members go over June 28 to 30 to meet up with their friends in the Irish Centre in Liverpool.

The members will be travelling over to participate in a biennial trip organised between the club and the centre.

However, the forthcoming trip will also mark a welcome return to the initiative as the trips were on hold since the Covid-19 pandemic.

A spokesperson for the club commented: "This weekend, not only will there be a great weekend of Irish song, music and dance, but a great reunion for old friends with many new memories being made."
