Death

It was with profound sadness the community learned of the passing of Adrian Power, Marian Terrace, High Street and Forge Auto Services, Stradbally, Co Waterford, on Thursday, July 25. Adrian is deeply mourned by his heartbroken parents PJ and Breda, sisters Yasmin and Tanya, and Tanya's partner Ben, his nephews Scott and Dean, aunts, uncles, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Adrian's reposing took place at Drohan's Funeral Home, Dungarvan on Monday, July 29, from 6pm to 8pm where large numbers came to pay their respects and support the family. Adrian's funeral Mass was held at Holy Cross Church, Stradbally at 12 noon on Tuesday, July 30.

Fr Edmond Cullinan PP, Stradbally, celebrated the Requiem Mass, assisted by Fr Michael Enright and Fr Pat Butler PP. The music and hymns during the Mass were provided by Robert and Matty Weldon. At the beginning of Mass symbols representing Adrian's life were brought to the altar. Scott brought a Hot Rod Trophy, Jasmine brought a Ben Sherman watch, Finola brought a wrench and Philip brought a Marvel film box set. The Readers of the Liturgy were Marie Curran and Nicola Dee.

The Prayers of the faithful were shared by Marie Walsh and Kavan Dee. The Offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Melissa Claxton and Rosemary O'Brien.

Following Communion PJ ( Adrian's father) gave a fitting Eulogy. This was followed by Craig Dee who thanked Colin McArthur, the Emergency Services, Gardai, First Responders and Dr Sean McElduff. He thanked the community and all the people who called to the house and helped in any way and offered support. After the final prayers were recited Adrian was carried to his final resting place in the adjoining cemetery.

Deepest sympathy is extended to PJ , Breda, Tanya and Yasmin, Yasmin's partner Ben, nephews Scott and Dean, aunts uncles, cousins, extended family, neighbours and a host of friends. May Adrian rest in peace.
