The Greenway Manor was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Friday, August 15, of Rachael Bradley and Danny O'Regan from Waterford.
The death sadly occurred on Tuesday, August 19, of Mr. Michael Clooney Pleasant Drive, Mount Pleasant, Waterford City, Waterford, formerly of Viewmount, Waterford and late of the Port of Waterford. Predeceased by his beloved wife Miriam, and brother Colm, he is survived by his loving sons David and Michael, daughter Liz, daughters-in-law Jill and Juliana, brothers Brendan and Gerard, sisters Margaret and Elizabeth, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends. Michael will be sadly missed by all his relatives, extended family wide circle of friends. Requiem Mass took place on Friday, August 22, at 11:30am in St. Mary's Church, Ballygunner, Waterford, followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery. Condolences are extended to Michael's family, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace

Formerly of Golf Links Road, Newrath, he is survived by his loving and heartbroken parents John and Patty, sister Eleanor, brother-in-law Joe (Fitzgerald), niece Ellen, cousins, extended family, relatives, neighbours and especially his friends at the Brothers of Charity, Waterford. Padraig will be sadly missed by all his extended family, relatives, neighbours and especially his friends at the Brothers of Charity, Waterford. Requiem Mass took place on Friday, August 22, in St. Mary’s Church, Ballygunner, Waterford at 2pm followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Predeceased by his loving wife Joan, he is survived by his loving daughter Suzanne, grandchildren Rachel, Nicola and Andrew, great grandchildren, extended family, neighbours and friends. Anthony will be sadly missed by all his relatives, extended family and friends. Anthony's Service took place on Monday, August 18 in the Old St. Mary's Church of Ireland, Clonmel at 2.45pm, and afterwards he was laid to rest in the St. Patrick's Cemetery, Clonmel. Predeceased by his loving parents Thomas and Nora and brothers-in-law Noel Power and Paddy Phelan, he is survived by his loving wife Bridget (née: Lonergan), daughter Marie, son Thomas, son-in-law Noel Flynn, daughter-in-law Lydia, sisters Anna Power, Helen Quinlan and MaryCatherine Phelan, his grandchildren Johnny, Izzie, Amelia, Daniel and Alfie, extended family, neighbours and friends. Michéal will be sadly missed by all his relatives, extended family and friends. Funeral Mass took place on Saturday, August 23 in St. Mary’s Church, Tournaneena at 12 noon. Burial took place afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Condolences are extended to the Michéal family, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.

Children Liturgy will resume on Sunday, September 7 (pending leader availability). We are seeking parent/guardian volunteers and children (3rd-6th class)to read Prayers of the Faithful at the 10am Mass in St Joseph’s & St Benildus church from September 2025 to June 2026 on a rota basis.
We are currently inviting boys and girls to join the team of altar servers at SS Joseph & Benildus Church, commencing in September 2025. Children must have made their First Holy Communion. A historic talk, ‘The Mons Star Recipients in the Royal Irish Regiment’, will take place at Central Library Waterford on Wednesday, September 3, at 6.30pm. Meet authors Larry Scallan and Mary Anne Maher and hear about their recently published research into the Irish soldiers who received the Mons or the 1914 Star for service in the First World War, focusing especially on the young soldiers recruited from Waterford and the rest of the South East. The Mons Star, colloquially known as the Mons Star was awarded to officers and men who served during the first year of World War One (August 5 and November 22, 1914). All Welcome.

The Greenway Manor was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Friday, August 15, of Rachael Bradley and Danny O'Regan from Waterford. Rachael and Danny had been working to put the finishing touches to their wonderful day. As the sun was shining, they wanted to celebrate outside in the beautiful grounds of the Greenway Manor with family and their wide circle of friends. Rachael is the daughter of Fiona O’Keeffe and Jimmy Bradley, her grandmother is Carol O’Regan and grandfather is Anthony O’Keeffe and her step-grandad is Noel O’Regan. Danny is the son of Donal and Bernie O’Regan. The bridesmaids were Kiara, Katy, Natalie, Leah and Melanie and the groomsmen were Gary, Tommy, John Keith and Andrew. The flower girl and page boy were Rachael and Danny’s beautiful children Charlie and Lily. The marriage ceremony and Mass was celebrated by Sinead Gould and following the beautiful ceremony, the happy couple were joined by family and wide circle of friends in the Greenway Manor Hotel, Waterford, for their wedding reception. All would like to wish Rachael and Danny many long years of happiness, health and success.
