Sympathies

It is with deep and sincere regret we record the death of Clair Power, Priory Lawn, who died suddenly on Tuesday, July 30, aged 39 years. Formerly of Ballybeg Drive and late of Morris’s Builders Providers and DIY. Claire's remains lay in repose at Thompson's Funeral Home on Saturday, August 3, with vigil prayers and Rosary. Claire's cortege walked from her residence en-route to St Saviour's Church on Sunday, August 4, for Mass on arrival. Her remains were received by Fr Jerry Chesnutt PP, Sacred Heart Church the Folly, and Requiem Mass was celebrated by Fr Jerry Chesnutt PP, followed by burial in Kilbarry Cemetery.

Claire was a very a lovely lady with a great sense of humour. She was a loving mother and daughter. She was a great neighbour and will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure to know her. Predeceased by her sister Suzannne, she is survived by her son Ryan, her parents John and Bridie, sisters Caroline and Christine, her brothers Micheal and Jason, sisters-in-law Michelle, Sarah and Pamala uncles aunts nieces nephews extended family relatives neighbours and friends to whom we offer our deepest sympathy.

Anniversary

A very happy 14th wedding anniversary is wished to Liam and Gail Ryan, Dunhill who celebrated their special day recently. Best wishes come to them from their five children and all the Ryan and Murphy families, as well as their many friends.

A very happy 18th wedding anniversary is wished to Wayne and Ann Brown, who celebrated their special day recently. Ann (nee: Corcoran) is formerly from Priory Lawn and all their families and their many friends, especially all in the music world, send their best wishes to them. Wayne is popular presenter on WLR and Ann is a popular member of the Panto Society.

A very happy birthday is wished to Fiona O’Leary Brophy, Ballybeg Court who celebrated her birthday recently. Birthday wishes come to her from her husband Denis her daughters Denise and Ashling all her family and her many friends.

A very happy 13th birthday is wished to Rian Murphy, Butlerstown who celebrated his birthday during the week. Birthday wishes come to him from his mam and dad Aoife and Larry, his brother Tadgh and his sisters Ella and Ceile, his grandparents and all his cousins and friends. We also wish his cousin Bobby Kinlan, Fenor a very happy 12th birthday. He celebrated his day on Tuesday, August 6. Birthday wishes come to him from his mam and dad Caroline and Robert, his sisters Clara and Pippa and all the Kinlan and Murphy families. We also wish a very happy birthday to their grandmother Anne Murphy, Butlerstown who celebrated her birthday on Wednesday, August 7. Birthday wishes come to her from her husband Al, her daughters Gail and Caroline, her son Larry, her sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, her mother May Ryan, Dunhill, as well as all the Ryan and Murphy families.

St Saviour's GAA club

St Saviour's GAA club would like to thank everyone who supported their recent bingo night in the Forum. The night was a great success a special thank you to all our raffle sponsors. We held a try hurling night on Wednesday last and again we were delighted with the turnout. If your boy or girl is interested in trying out hurling or football, why not bring them along to the club on Saturday mornings 11am to 12pm where Little Saints for boys and girls age 5 to 8 years meet and have fun as well a learning the game.

St Paul's Church

Butlerstown Cemetery Mass takes place on Wednesday, August 21, at 7.30pm. Rosary at the Grotto continues each Monday, Wednesday and Friday until October at 6.30pm. Prayers offered for vocations to the priesthood and religious life and world peace.

Mass times in St Paul's Church are: Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10am; Saturday Vigil at 6pm and Sunday Mass at 8.30am and 11.30am. Mass in Butlerstown is celebrated on Friday at 10am and Sunday at 10am. Contact St Paul's and Butlerstown on 051 357730 from 9.15am to 12.45pm, Monday to Friday.

St Saviour's Church News

Mass time in St Saviour's Church is celebrated on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 10am, on  Sunday at 8.30am, 11am and 5.30pm. Baptism take place at 12pm each Sunday and one weeks notice must be given. Contact the parish Office at 051 376032 or email stsaviourspo@outlook.com

The parish shop is open each day from 10am to 12pm for all your religious needs.
