A very happy 30th wedding anniversary is wished to Brenda and Sean Giles, Cherrymount
It is with deep and sincere regret we record the death of Mr Frank Ryan, College Mews, The folly and late of Priory Lawn, Ballybeg and Ruskie, Roscommon, who died on Thursday, August 22. His remains lay in repose at Thompson's Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 27, with vigil prayers and rosary. Frank’s cortege walked from Priory Lawn en-route to St Saviour's Church for Requiem Mass, celebrated by Fr Robert Grant PP, followed by burial in Kilbarry cemetery.
Predeceased by his wife Mary, he is survived by his sons Kevin and Pat, daughters Michelle, Clare and Laura, Kevin's partner Aimee, Pat's partner Sharon, son-in-law Sean, seven grandchildren, brothers Jim, Gerald, Dermot, Kevin and John, sister Maura, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends to whom we offer our deepest sympathy.
Congratulations to Darragh Murphy, Carraige an Aird, who was part of the Waterford U14 development team who won the Sonny Walsh Cup on Saturday last in De La Salle pitch, Gracedieu, defeating Dublin by a point. Well done to all. Darragh is popular player with St Saviour's GAA. We also congratulate Jamie Swift who was part of the U15 development squad who also played last weekend. Jamie is also popular player with St Saviour's GAA.

Deepest sympathy to the White family on the death of their mother Maureen, late of O’Reilly Road, Cork Road who died on Wednesday, August 28. Maureen's remains lay in repose at Tom Hennessy’s Funeral home on Thursday, August 29 and Requiem Mass was celebrated for the repose of her soul in the Church of the Holy Trinity Without, Ballybricken, on Friday, August 30, followed by burial in St Otteran's Cemetery, Ballinaneeshagh.
Maureen was a lovely lady, and she was a long time resident of the Cork Road, where she was liked by all who had the pleasure to meet her. She will be sadly missed by family and friends alike. Predeceased by her husband John and son-in-law Eamon Gavin, she is survived by her sons Nicholas, Thomas and Sean, daughters Jennifer, Annette, Marian, Jacinta, Paula and Martina, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, nephew’s, nieces, extended family and friends. May Maureen's gentle soul rest in peace.
St Saviour's GAA Club's Little Saints meet every Saturday from 10am to 11pm for boys and girls aged from 5 years to 8 years. The cost is €2 per session. Any boys and girls from Ballybeg and the surrounding areas are welcome to attend.

Deepest sympathy to the Begadon family on the death of a much loved wife, mother and grandmother, Maura Begadon (nee: Kennedy), Belvedere Drive, who died in the care of Mooncoin Residential Home, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, August 27. Her remains lay in repose at Falconer's Funeral Home, Tramore, on Friday, August 30, with Vigil prayers. Requiem mass was celebrated in St John's Church, Parnell Street, on Saturday, August 31, followed by burial in Faithlegg Cemetery. Maureen's cortege passed her residence on route to St John's Church. Predeceased by her parents and brothers, Sonny and Micheal and her sisters Eily and Bridie, she is survived by her husband Martin (Sonkey), daughters Valeria, Janet and Joanne, her seven grandchildren, her great-grandchildren, sons-in-law Liam, Derek and David, her sisters Kathleen and Rita, brothers Jim and Pat ,nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
St Saviour's Church mass times are daily at 10am on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and on Sunday at 8.30am. 11am and 5.30pm.
Baptism takes place after the 11am mass on Sunday and a weeks notice must be given through the Parish Office. For marriage, three months notice must be given - also through the Parish Office which is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am to 12pm. Mass takes place at 10am on Thursdays and at 10am on Sunday in Butlerstown Church. Mass in St Paul's Church is celebrated on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at 10am. Saturday Vigil Mass is at 6pm and on Sunday at 8.30am and 11.30am . If you are available and willing to help us with the parish envelope collections in St Paul’s area we would appreciate your help.
