The death sadly occurred on Monday, September 30, of Mrs. Margaret (Peggy) Butler (nee: Hackett), 'The Hawthorns', Ballymacaw, Dunmore East, Co Waterford. Predeceased by her loving husband Jack, her sister Monica and brother Paddy, she is survived by her loving daughters Julie and Lisa, sisters Betty, Joan, Maureen and Kathleen, sons-in-law Derrick and Marcin, grandchildren Carla, Jonathan, Jacqui, Emily, Rachel and Jo, great-grandchildren Henry, Xana, Noah, Albie and Nessa, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends. Margaret will be sadly missed by all her relatives, extended family, neighbours and friends. Requiem Mass took place on Friday, October 4, in Our Lady's Church, Carbally, Tramore, Co Waterford, at 11am, followed by burial in Carbally New Cemetery. Condolences are extended to Margaret (Peggy) family, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.

Predeceased by his loving wife Patricia and his brothers and his sisters, he is survived by his loving children Eamonn, Siobhan and Jim. son-in-law Tom, daughters-in-law Laura and Susie, grandchildren Grace, Sam, Tessa, Hugh and Eoghan, sister-in-law Mary, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends. Sonny will be sadly missed by all his family, relatives, neighbours and friends. Requiem Mass took place on Monday, October 7, in St Nicholas' Church, Faithlegg, Co Waterford at 10.30am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Director of Malone O’Regan Construction and formerly of Kilmoganny, Co Kilkenny, he is survived by his loving sons Nathan and Joseph, parents Ella and Matthew, brother Alan, Lynette, Auri, Pia and Leila, sister-in-law Ailish, niece Lue-Ann, extended family, neighbours and friends. Brian will be sadly missed by all his family, relatives neighbours and friends. Requiem Mass took place on Sunday, October 6, in St Mary's Church, Ballygunner, Waterford at 12.30pm, followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Condolences are extended to Brian's family, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.
University Hospital Waterford Maternity Service would like to invite all who have experienced pregnancy, infant or child loss to attend a service of remembrance on Sunday, October 27, at 4pm in Christchurch Cathedral, Cathedral Square, Waterford. All who have experienced pregnancy, infant or child loss are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be served afterwards.
We are seeking play volunteers to support children and young people in Waterford University Hospital. As you can imagine, hospital can be a scary and stressful time, so our volunteers provide a space for fun and give them a positive experience. The Solas Run and Walk for Life will return to the streets of Waterford City on Sunday, October 13, and on Dungarvan’s Greenway on Saturday, October 12.
The 10K Run and Walk in Dungarvan starts at 10am at Walton Park and the 10k event in Waterford will begin at 10am on the quay. A new 4K family walk has been added to both the Waterford and Dungarvan events to encourage families to take part in tandem with the 10K routes. The popular virtual option is also available and workplaces are being encouraged to once again #GoOrangeForSolas. Registration is open online at www.solascentre.ie. The registration fee is €25 per adult and €15 per child. This fee includes a t-shirt and an event medal, kindly sponsored by Eirgen Pharma.

Speak in Stitches is a free repair skills workshop with Caroline O’Toole. Learn how to carry out repairs, fitting, hems, and alterations by hand and sewing machine in four weeks. The workshop will run over four Friday afternoons in October. No experience necessary and the sessions will take place on Fridays until October 25, from 2pm to 4.30pm in Central Library, Lady Lane, Waterford.
