Sympathies

It is with deep sincere regret we record the death of Mr John (Johnny) Falconer, Glencarra, who died on Friday, August 16, in University Hospital Waterford. Late of Browns Lane and New Street, formerly of ACEA and ABB. His remains lay in repose at Thompson's Funeral Home on Monday, August 19, with vigil prayers and rosary. John's funeral cortege walked from his residence on Tuesday, August 20, to St Saviour’s Church for requiem mass followed by private cremation at a later date.

John was a loving husband and dad and grandad. A great neighbour and friend who always had a word for everyone. A gentleman, John was well known in the area where he walked his beloved dog every day. He will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him family, neighbours and friends alike. Predeceased by his mam and dad, Edith and Billy, his sister baby Bridget, son-in-law Denis Scully, he is survived by his wife Barbara, his daughters Rebecca, Evelyn, Marguerite and Barbara-Jean, his nine grandchildren, his sister Mary, sons-in-law Micheal, Bill and Tommy, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends to whom we offer our deepest sympathy.
